TIMES PACITAN, JAKARTA – In the bustling arrival ambiance of pilgims at the Amir Muhammad bin Abdul Aziz (AMAA) Airport Madinah, Bagas, a 32-year-old man from Tangerang, found himself in a tense situation when he realized his passport-laden bag for his Hajj 2024 was left behind in the pilgrimage dormitory.

His faith and composure were put to the test. Amidst the potential panic that could have overwhelmed him, Bagas remained steadfast in his belief that his bag would be returned. His conviction stemmed from the professionalism of the Hajj officials, who were always prompt and adhered to standard operating procedures.

"I have watched from the beginning, the officials were diligent. If they work correctly and follow the SOP, my passport bag will surely be returned," stated Bagas confidently.

And indeed, his intuition proved right. The Hajj officials swiftly sprang into action to locate Bagas's bag. Amidst his anxiety, Bagas was moved by the kindness and readiness of the officials.

"Stay calm, sir, we will find it after this," they reassured him empathetically, calming Bagas's nerves.

But Bagas's tale didn't end there. Behind the forgotten bag lay the noble story of his devotion. He had stepped in for his father, whose journey had been delayed due to the pandemic, to accompany his mother on the pilgrimage.

"The replacement process was seamless, with assistance from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Hajj Organizing Committee, I was able to take my father's place to accompany my mother," expressed Bagas gratefully.

Furthermore, Bagas was impressed by the exceptional service provided during the pilgrimage. "The Hajj officials are kind; those in need of wheelchairs were expedited, and those with business class wheelchair tickets were prioritized," he remarked with admiration.

Before long, a radiant smile spread across Bagas's face like the glow of Mecca at night. His passport bag had arrived with the rest of the pilgrims. He hurriedly made his way to the hotel in Medina to reunite with his mother, ready to embark on a spiritually meaningful journey.

Bagas's story serves as tangible proof that faith and the readiness of Hajj officials can guide pilgrims to the Kaaba with peace and happiness. Amidst the hustle and bustle, and despite limitations, the spirit of serving and assisting others always remains the top priority.

Bagas has become an inspiration to other pilgrims, showing that in the journey of performing the Hajj 2024 pilgrimage, optimism and faith will always lead the way through the dark nights of Mecca, filled with blessings. His journey has also beccome a testament for everyone in earth how the officials work properly as they should. (*)
